he was the
son of the late John and Julia
Drurko Alatsis.
A U.S. Army veteran; Mr.
Alatsis had been employed in
the welding shop of the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.
He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church Auxiliary.
He was a social member of
the Firemen’s clubs; Croatian
Club and many other clubs. He
was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion and
BPOE 773; Monessen.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by a sister; Julia Milkent; in 1995.
Surviving are his wife;
Catherine Apodiakis Alatsis;
two daughters and sons-in-law;
Janet and Nino Forlini and
Nikki and Paul G. Mornak; all
of Monessen; five grandchildren; Christina; Matthew;
Kelly; Nicholas and Nina; and a
brother and sister-in-law; Ted
and Barbara Alatsis of
Monessen.
Friends will be received
Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.^and
Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
in the Rhome Funeral Home
Inc.; 1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home Saturday at 9:30 a.m.;followed bya funeral service at 10 a.m.in St.Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church;Monessen;with the Rev.Costas P.Keares officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Trisagion services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 8 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.
