Newton D.Phillips,77,of 1410 Schnoomaker avenue,died Sunday,July 4,1954 at 9:10 a.m.in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He retired as an employee of the Pittsburgh Steel Co.,where he was a wire drawer,in 1952. He is survived by one sister,Mrs.Aura Lawson of Washington,D.C. Friends are being received at the Draper Funeral Home where services will be held Thursday,July 8,at 11 a.m. in charge of Rev.George Bryant of the A.M.E.Church. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C.Draper,funeral in charge.
