Obituary

Nello N.Niccolai of 600 Lookout avenue,Charleroi,died in the Columbia Hospital,Wilkinsburg,Monday,February 13,1956,at 9:10 a.m. Mr.Niccolai was born in Montagniania,Italy,June 2,1895,the son of Raffaello and Ersilia Niccolai. He came to Charleroi in 1925 from Vesta,and was also a former resident of Belle Vernon. He was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Church and the Holy Name Society. He was formerly employed by the Calistri Ice Cream company here,and at the time of his death,was an employee of the Meadow Gold Dairies of Pittsburgh. He was a member of Salvatore Barzilai Lodge,648,Order Sons of Italy. He was a veteran of World War One,serving with Co.L,320th Infantry in 1918. He was a member of Charleroi American Legion Post 22,and the Mon Valley Barracks,No.350. He is survived by his wife,Carobina Ferrari Niccolai,one daughter,Virginia,at home,four brothers,Primo,Dominico and Geno of Belle Vernon,and Narciso of Bentleyville. Friends will be received at the Francis C.Slezak Funeral Home. Solemn Requiem High Mass will be sung by Rev.John J.Thomas in the Mother of Sorrows Church,Friday,February 17,1956,at 10 a.m. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Americn Legion Post 22,and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Francis C.Slezak is the funeral director.
