Nellie Spiegelberg,76,of 25 Colonial Drive,Monessen,died in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital on Saturday,February 26,1977,at 7:45 p.m.after a brief illness. Born in Monessen on March 10,1900,she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Flora Bates. Mrs.Spiegelberg was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church,Monessen. She was preceded in death by her husband,Henry G.Spiegelberg,in 1950. Surviving are three daughters,Mrs.Raymond A. (Carol) Johnson II of Monessen,with whom she resided,Mrs.Clarence (Betty) Grant of Speers and Mrs.Robert (Norma) Hannah of Cleveland,Ohio;one sister,Mrs.Willi (Zoe) Briggs of Munhall;three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,after 7 p.m.Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.in St.Paul's Lutheran Church,Monessen,with the Rev.Gordon P.Ray officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rhome funeral directors in charge.
