Obituary

Mrs. Nellie Singley of 1340 Allison St.,Monessen,died Tuesday morning, May 2,1961,at 4:25 o'clock in Charleroi-Monessen Hosptial after a long illness. Mrs. Singley came to Monessen in 1906 and had lived here since that time. Her husband, William, preceded her in death in February,1946. She is survived by two daughters, Edith Singley of Monessen and Mrs. Samuel Bell of Belle Vernon;a brother,William Hoyes of Lynnwood;two sisters, Mrs.Thomas Brown of Fayette City and Mrs. Edna Rossell of Belle Vernon and one grandchild. Friends will be received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home, 262 Donner Ave.,Monessen,beginning at 7 p.m.,May 2.  Visiting hours are from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday,May4,at 2 p.m. from the funeral home,with the Rev. Jackson Gabana,pastor of the First Methodist Church,Monessen,officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Edwin Melenyzer,funeral director.
