Nellie Speer Overand of Belle Vernon R.D.2 died suddenly Tuesday;August 5;1986 at her home. She was 78. She was born Jan.22;1908 in Webster;a daughter of the late Samuel and Bessie Lange Speer. Mrs.Overand was a retired school teacher;having taught for many years in Webster. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church;Donora. Survivors include her husband;William T.Overand;one son;Gerald Gillingham of Carlisle;Pa.;one sister;Mrs.Mildred Hughes of Charleroi;five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the James C.Stump Funeral Home;Sweeney Plan;Rostraver Township;where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Charles L. Barber;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The James C.Stump Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
