Obituary

Neil Crawford Hill,39,of 957 Grant St.,Monessen,was pronounced dead on arrrival at the Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital on Monday,Nov.3,1975,at 4:25 a.m.of injuries received in a fall at the BOF section of the Monessen Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. An electrician's helper in the plant,he had worked for W-P Steel for 19 years. He was born Aug.17,1936,in Arnold City,a son of Hazel Hill of Monessen and the late George Hill Sr. Mr.Hill was a member of Union Baptist Church,Monessen,and F&AM Twin City Lodge 67,Pricedale. In addition to his father,he was preceded in death by a sister,Alice Reddick,in February of 1972. Surviving,in addition to his mother,are his widow,Noryce Jean,three sons,Neil C.Jr.,Darrell K.and Gary D.,all at home,four brothers,James A.Hill of Perryopolis,Thomas E.Hill and George W.Hill,both of Monessen,Bruce E.Hill of Cleveland,Ohio,three sisters,Hazel P.Garland of McKeesport,Mary L.Smith and Doris G.Wheeler,both of Monessen,and many nieces and nephews. Friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.on Tuesday at the William R.Taylor Funeral Home,645 McMahon Ave.,Monessen. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m.at Union Baptist Church,Monessen,with the Rev.C.L.McCraw officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. William R.Taylor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
