Obituary

Neal A. Guadagnino, 87, of Grant Street, North Belle Vernon, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at 8:05 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born Sept. 7, 1914, in Slovan, Pa., he was a son of the late Frank and Pasqualine Guadagnino. Mr. Guadagnino was a resident of North Belle Vernon for the past 55 years and was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon. Mr. Guadagnino was retired from the former Baur Bros. Bakery, Wonder Baking Co. and Braun Baking Co. in Dunlevy, where he worked as a salesman. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Army Air Force. He was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and served as a trustee for Local 485 Bakery Workers Union, Pittsburgh. He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Guy and Billie Guadagnino and Frank Jr. and Ruth Guadagnino, all of Pittsburgh, two sisters, Mary Angelelli of Kittanning and Nancy Weber of Anaheim, Calif., and one brother-in-law, Albert Franceschi of North Belle Vernon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Franceschi Guadagnino on March 9, 2001, and two brothers, Samuel and Anthony Guadagnino. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. The Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 3 p.m. by members of St. Sebastian Parish, and the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will conduct services Sunday at 7 p.m., both in the funeral home. A prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funera1 home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
