Nancy Horan Pallo of Route 88;Allenport;died Monday;May 5;1986 at Jefferson Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Donora;a daughter of Joseph and Martha Maatta Horan;who survive and reside in Allenport. Mrs.Pallo was an English teacher at the Charleroi Area Junior-Senior High School. She was a member of the Monessen Chapter of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Literacy Council;the Frick Foundation Writing for the 80’a Seminars Intermediate Unit One;the National Education Association;the Pennsylvania State Education Association;the California Area Education Association and the Association of University People. Survivors;in addition to her parents;include her former husband;Richard John Pallo;of Stockdale;three daughters;Mrs.Martha McCloy and Mrs.Shirley Evans;both of Stockdale;and Barbara Pallo of Laurel;Md.;one sister;Laverne Kennedy;of Allenport;one brother;Robert Horan;of Allenport and three grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Homes Inc.;1008 Furlong Ave.;Roscoe where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Charles R.Barber;pastor of St.Luke Lutheran Church;Monessen;officiating.
