Obituary

Monroe Sims,45,of 1266 Morgan avenue,Monessen,was pronounced dead on arrival at the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital on Wednesday,March 27,1957 at 4:45 p.m.  He had suffered a heart attack. An employee of the open hearth department of the local Pittsburgh Steel Co. plant,he was a veteran of World War II,and had served overseas.  Survivors include a brother,McKinley Sims,at home a sister,Mrs. Julia Payne,of New York City and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received at the Draper Funeral Home,608 Sixth street,after 7 p.m. March 28.  Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Saturday,March 30,at 11 a.m.,with Rev. E.W. Jarrett,officiating.  Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
