Obituary

Monet Latina Crosby-Simmons, of Pittsburgh, born November 26, 2007, in Pittsburgh, departed this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. During her short time here, she was such a joy and brought smiles to many. Monet was known to many as Pumpkin Pie or Chicken Wing . Survivors include her mother, Kimberly M. Crosby, sister, Anastasia Crosby, and father, Darrell T. Pops Simmons, all of Pittsburgh, her maternal grandparents, H. Otis and Patty Crosby, of Monessen, paternal grandparents, Darrell and April Simmons, of McKeesport, and Roxanne and Rocky Johnson, of Alta Loma, Calif., her maternal great-grandparents, Katherine and Samuel Mason, of Monessen, paternal great-grandmother, Betty Jean Lofton, of Duquesne, and aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. at the Gate of Heaven, Church of God in Christ, 644 Reed Ave., Monessen, where services will be held Saturday, May 10, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Derrico of the Christian Center officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the BEVERLY C. DRAPER FUNERAL HOME INC., 608 Sixth St., Monessen (724-684-6242).
