Miriam R. Ritchie, 82, of Monongahela, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in her home. She was born July 25, 1938 in Eldora, the daughter of the late James and Leah Stearns Rumbel. Miriam was a 1956 graduate of Donora High School and a 1974 graduate of California University of Pa. She had been employed as a seamstress and as a Social Worker. Before becoming disabled,she was a member of the Historical Society,AARP,Rebecca Lodge and the Senior Citizens Showboat Show. Miriam was an acive member of the First Baptist Church in Monongahela, it's choir and a participant in varoius church ministries. She enjoyed crocheting and working crosswoed and Sudoku puzzles. She was predeceased by sons Ronald "Arnie" Ritchie and Raymond Ritchie. She is survived by two daughters and a son, Michele Harris of Newport, Donald Ritchie of Alaska, Johnna Gregg and husband Randy of Monongahela; grandchildren, Donald Harris IV,Victoria Harris, Cody Gregg,Leanna Gregg, Aleigha Horner Ritchie,Ryan Wells and Christian Dela Cruz Ritchie; great-grandson,Shane Tolliver;and a brother,James Carl Rumbel and wife Joan. Private services will be held in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Frye Funeral Home, Inc.
