Mina P.Patterson of 436 Knox Ave.;Monessen;died Tuesday;Aug.30;1983;at 5:15 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. She was 89. Mrs.Patterson was born in Eastman;Ga.;a daughter of the late Allen Payne and Margaret Jackson Payne. She had been a resident of Monessen for over 60 years;arriving there from Georgia. Mrs.Patterson was a member of the Mt.Calvary Baptist Church;Monessen. She was the last of eight children in her family. Surviving are one daughter;Leola Stanley Driver of Monessen;one granddaughter;Frances Clayton of Detroit;Mich.;two great-grandchildren;three great-great-grandchildren;numerous godchildren;and a host of relatives and friends. Friends will be received at the Mt.Calvary Baptist Church;Monessen;Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon where the body will lie in state until the time of services Saturday at 1 p.m.;with the Rev.Griffin Mason;pastor;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The William R.Taylor Funeral Home;645 McMahon Ave.;Monessen;is in charge of arrangements.
