Millie Reed Caputo; 99; of Charleroi; formerly of North Belle Vernon; died 10:35 a.m. Monday; Aug. 17; 2009; at Nevaeh Cove Nursing Home; Charleroi. Born July 1; 1910; in Belle Vernon; she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Sacco Reed. Mrs. Caputo was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church; Belle Vernon and was a homemaker. She was a member of the former Ladies Guild and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 659 of Belle Vernon; the Anita Garibaldi Society of Belle Vernon and the Fayette City Area Golden Age Club. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law; Richard and Janet Caputo; of Brownsville; daughter-in-law Alice Caputo; of Rices Landing; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Guido P. Caputo (July 9; 1967); a son; James Caputo; four brothers; Marino; Albert; James and Arthur Reed; and four sisters; Carrie Andreis; Lena Fowler; Virginia Toth and Genevieve Haffner. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724) 929-6183. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Bump officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
