Obituary
Miles L. Peck,84,who had made his home for the past four years with his daughter,Mrs. Callie Julye,Belle Vernon R.D.1,was pronounced dead on arrival at General Hospital,Spartansburg,S.C. on Monday,March 14,1960. He had been visiting with his daughter,Mrs. Isabelle Brown in Spartansburg. Mr. Peak was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen. Surviving are five daughters,Mrs. Brown,Mrs. Julye,Mrs. Bernice Robinson and Mrs. Hattie Payne,both of Chautauqua,N.Y. and Mrs. Esther Brown of Washington,D.C.;two sons,Jesse Peak of Belle Vernon and Frederick of Cleveland,Ohio;13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death on Feb. 23,1958. Friends will be received at the Draper Funeral Home,Monessen after 7 p.m. on Friday,March 18. Funeral services will be held on Saturday,March 19,at 1 p.m. from Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen,with the Rev. E. Archie officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
