Obituary

Mildred S. (Millie) Koslasky, 81, formerly of Long Avenue, Belle Vernon, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, in Country Care Manor, Fayette City. A daughter of the late Fred and Kathryn Susick Savage, she was born Aug. 3, 1920 in, Scotthaven. She had resided most of her adult life in Belle Vernon and was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church of Masontown. A seamstress and beautician, she owned and operated Mildred's Beauty Shop in Fairhope from 1960 to 1997. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Frederick and Susan (Miki) Koslasky of Willoughby, Ohio, a sister, Mary Dorich of Los Angeles, Calif., a grandson, Craig Koslasky and his wife Kelley, three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Chelsea and Kennedy Koslasky, and three sisters-in-law, Julia Paholski, Sue Koslasky and Teresa Koslasky, all of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. Koslasky in 1959, a son, Raymond in 1962, two grandchildren, Fredie and Raymond Koslasky, three brothers, George, Miller and Nick Savage, and three sisters, Dorothy Phillips, Ann Savage and Ida Greco. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., a Golden Rule Member Firm, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
