Mildred Podolak of 2008 East Carson St.,Pittsburgh,died Wedesday,May 10,1978 at 7:30 a.m. in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh. She was 46. Born in Van Meter,she was the daughter of Mary Holod Tkach,who survives,and the late Simon Tkach. In addition to her mother,Mrs. Tkach of Belle Vernon,she is survived by a son,David,serving with the U.S. Army;four brothers,Alex Tkach of Hartford,Conn.,John Tkach of New York,N.Y.,Charles Tkach of Library,and Steve Tkach of Finleyville,and three sisters,Mrs. Craig (Pauline) Whitaker of Crafton,Mrs. Amos (Mary) Molek of Coal Center,and Helen Tkach of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home,with the Rev. R.W. Dawson Hopson,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director, is in charge of arrangements.
