Mildred J. Lucas,80,of Belle Vernon,died Wednesday June 16,1999,in the Mon Valley Hospital,Inc. Mrs. Lucas was born March 19,1919,in Monessen,a daughter of the late Richard and Ethel Webb. She was Protestant by faith,and she was retired from Lynnwood Lanes. Besides her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Lucas in 1978 and two sisters, Elizabeth Borne and June Pappas. He is survived by two sons, Leonard R. and his wife Joann Lucas of Belle Vernon and Dean and his wife Linda Lucas of Georgia; two sisters, Virginia Sadler of Uniontown and Dorothy Swan of Charleroi; six grandchildren,Leonard P. Lucas,James D. Lucas,Erin Abrams, Brian Lucas,Joshua Lucas and Tracey Ferrara and four great-grandsons, Luke,Lucas,Jacob and Hunter. Friends will be received in the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home,Inc.,Main St.,Fayette City,on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until 11 a.m.,the hour of services in the funeral home,with the Rev. James Moffett,officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
