Obituary

Mildred E. Sabol, 81, of Monessen, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc. She was born July 17, 1922, in Ellsworth, a daughter of the late Frank Sabol and Anna Boldyzar Sabol. She was a 1940 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She was a retired bookkeeper, having worked for Keystone Bakery in Monessen. After retiring, she worked part time at the Monessen Public Library and District Center. Mrs. Sabol was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates baseball fan, loved to work on crossword puzzles and played cards with several card clubs. She is survived by one brother, Joseph E. Sabol of Racine, Wis., one sister, Margaret Matiansky of Las Vegas, Nev., two nieces, Aurelie Sabol of Cleveland, Ohio, and Janet Sabol of Racine, Wis., one nephew, Joseph Sabol Jr. of Marquette, Mich., and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Sabol. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, (724-684-8750). Services will be held Monday, May 10, beginning with a 9:30 a.m. blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
