Obituary

Mike Gelleto,72-year-old retired railroad worker who lived on Tyrol Pass, Monessen,died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital at 10 o'clock Friday night, July 7,1939 of injuries he suffered when hit by an automobile last Sunday night. Monessen police,who have been investigating the case all week,indicated they believed the driver of the car, James Queen,26 year old of Monongahela,would be cleared of responsibility for the accident. Mr. Gelleto was injured nearly a week ago.at about 9 p.m.,July 2,while walking up Tyrol Pass. Mr. Queen's car apparently sideswiped the man The cause of death was given as pneumonia,following injuries in an automobile accident. Mr. Gelleto was formerly employed by the P.& L.E.R.R.,but had been retired for several years.  He had no relatives in this country and made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Carmine Vigiliotti.  Friends will be received at the Woodward Funeral Home,Schoonmaker avenue.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in charge of the Rev. G. Paonessa.  Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
