Obituary

Michael Valko,77,of Apartment 64,Marion Villa,died Saturday,Oct.13,1979,at 4:30 a.m.in Brownsville Hospital.  He was born in Pittsburgh,May 31,1902,son of the late Peter and Anna Latta Valko. He was a member of the Holy Spirit R.C. Church of Fayette City and was retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittburgh Steel Corp.  Surviving are his widow,Anna Glotz Valko;four sons,the Rev. George Valko of Detroit,Edward Valko of Charleroi,Leonard Valko of Monessen and Henry Valko of Belle Vernon;three daughters,Mrs. Donald (Agnes)Mason of Hiller,Mrs. John (Irene) Baker of Belle Vernon and Sister Roseann Valko of Montgomery,Ala.;four brothers, Peter and William of Belle Vernon;Nicholas of the state of California,and Andrew of Monessen;one sister, Mary Valko of Belle Vernon;13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers,his parents and one granddaughter.  Friends will be received Monday evening in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City.  A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Spirit Church with the Rev. Thomas G. Rinn as celebrant.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
