Michael T. Nogy,75,of 1230 Linn Drive, Belle Vernon,died on Sunday,Aug. 6,1989,at 11:40 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born on Dec. 21,1913,in Pricedale, a son of the late Andrew and Ann Nogy. Mr. Nogy was also preceded in death by his wife,Justine Smereczniak Nogy on April 27,1978; three brothers, Andrew,Louis and Walter and two sisters, Stella Nogy and Ann Dubinsky. He was a lifelong resident of the Mon Valley,and a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon. Mr. Nogy was a lifelong member and founder of the Mon Valley Area Radio Control Society,which flew model airplanes. He also served in the U.S. Army for 21 years in World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Nogy retired from the service in 1962 as a major in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. Survivors include one daughter, Carol Ann Nogy of Tallahassee, Fla.; two sons, Michael T. Nogy Jr.of Wichita, Kanas and Gregory F. Nogy of Smithton; two brothers, Joseph and John Nogy of the state of California; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hornack of Monessen and Mrs. Reno (Sophie) Carini of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A Blessing service will be held on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. in the funeral home and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
