Obituary

Michael Sefanick of 217 Center St.,Belle Vernon,died Saturday, May 22,1982,at 7:45 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness.  He was 78.  Mr. Stefanick was born Feb. 29,1904,in Fayette City, a son of the late Michael and Susanna Svec Stefanick.  He was a retired employee of the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Mr. Stefanick was preceded in death by his wife,Anna,on Oct. 29,1980;a daughter,Blanche Yetsconish,on March 1,1982;a brother, Andrew Stefanick on June 25,1981 and a sister,Mary Danko,on Oct. 9,1960. He was a member of Holy Spirit R.C.Church,Fayette City. Surviving are two sons, Matthew E. of Belle Vernon and Rudolph Paul,at home;four grandchildren;two great-grandchildren;and four sisters, Mrs. Jack (Sue) Stonfer of Charleroi,Mrs. Charles (Anna) Nemesh of Donora, Mrs. Margaret Macko of Fayette City,and Mrs. Mike (Sophie) Murin of Monessen. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday.  Prayer Service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church,Fayette City,with the Rev. Thomas G. Rinn,pastor,as celebrant.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
