Michael Pobok,70,of Monessen, died Saturday,Oct. 2,1993,in his home. He was born Oct. 12,1922,in Fayette City,a son of the late Charles and Anna Kaschak Pobok. He was Orthodox by faith. He was a veteran of World War II,having served as a technical sergeant in the U.S.Army. He retired on Feb. 1,1986 from the weld shop of the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Survivors include his wife,Nellie Grabania Pobok;two sons and one daughter-in-law,Daniel J. Pobok,at home,and Michael and Lynn Pobok of Santa Clara, Calif.;two sisters, Mary Brassart of Fairhope,and Mrs. George (Anna) Hussar of Coal Center. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by one brother, Andy Pobok. There will be no public viewing. Burail will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The Stephen D. Yoney Jr. Funeral Home, Monessen,is in charge of the arrangements.
