Michael Surovchak,59,of 1576 Schoonmaker Ave.,Monessen,died Monday,July 10,1961,at 8:30 a.m.at his home. Mr.Surovchak was a member of St.John's Slovak Lutheran Church,Charleroi. He had been employed as a blocker in the galvanizing department of the Monessen Plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. Surviving are a brother,Andrew of Belle Vernon;four sisters,Mrs.Mary Sholtis of Monessen,Mrs.Helen Brindzak of Belle Vernon,Mrs. Julia Bruegger of Canton,Ohio and Mrs.Elizabeth Buchta of Monongahela. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where Blessing services will be held Thursday,July 13 at 1 p.m. Additional services will follow at 1:30 p.m.from St.John's Lutheran Church,Charleroi. The Rev.Stephen Hurnyak,church pastor,will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer,Monessen,funeral director.
