Michael Poke, 1430 Schoonmaker avenue, Monessen,died suddenly Wednesday evening, Nov. 14,1956 at 10:30 p.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital following a heart attack. The deceased, who had been a resident of Monessen for the past 39 years, was employed as a millwright at the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. He was a member of St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Fannie Poke; a daughter, Mrs. Anne Lario of Donora;two grandchildren and a brother in Europe. Friends will be received at the Check Home for Funerals,Schoonmaker avenue,where brief funeral services will be held Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. John Govrusik at 9 o'clock from St.John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. John L. Kravats,funeral director.
