Michael Martin,69,of 605 Bluff St.,Belle Vernon, died at 1:05 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10,1991,in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township. Mr. Martin was born Aug. 12,1921,in Monessen, a son of the late Andrew and Mary Martin. He was a retired self employed floor and wall contractor,having been previously employed by Sun Carpet and Tile of Charleroi. Mr. Martin had been a resident of the Belle Vernon community for the past 43 years. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Mr. Martin was a U.S.Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post No. 659. A sister, Margaret Gondal,is deceased. Surviving are his wife, Lola Tintori Martin; one son,Lance Martin of Charleroi; one daughter,Lolette Stanley of West Palm Beach,Fla.; two sisters, Sue Czelen of Monessen and Elizabeth Butela of Mt. Carmel and one granddaughter, Lisa Stanley of West Palm Beach, Fla. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will conduct services Monday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home,followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
