Michael Luzanski of 630 Graham St.,Belle Vernon, died suddenly Wednesday, Sept. 8,1980 at 10:24 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. Mr. Luzanski, who was 70, retired in 1972 as an assistant engineer at the steam plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation's Monessen Works. He was born Feb. 7,1910,in Arnold City,a son of the late John and Anna Kopcho Luzanski,Sr. A lifetime resident of the Belle Vernon area,he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Luzanski was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Monessen,and its Holy Name Society; American Legion Post 659, Belle Vernon; the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club and the American Slavonic Citizens Club,Fayette City. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George in 1956 and Andrew in 1976 and by a sister, Mary in 1960. Survivors include his wife, Helen Dohanich Luzanski,at home, two sons, Joseph M. of Greensburg, Pa and Robert J. of Avon Lake,Ohio; a brother, John Luzanski, Jr. of Belle Vernon; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Sarnowski and Mrs. Eugene ( Helen) Gilmore, both of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Sue Janosik of Swissvale,Pa, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home, 626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services for the Dead will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Blessing Service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by additional services at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church,Monessen, with Msgr. Andrew D. Parvensky.pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
