Michael H. Johnston,80,of 625 Speer St.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday, July 27,1966 at 4 p.m. in Haven Crest Nursing and Convalescent Home, Monongahela R.D. Mr. Johnston had been a conductor on the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad, retiring in 1960. Surviving are his widow,Galeen (Boyce) Johnston;four sons, Melvin A. of Sweeney Plan, Belle Vernon R.D.2,Thomas G.and Robert M. of Belle Vernon and Gale W. of Monessen;eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Dora Metzner, died in 1961. Friends are being received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Service there Saturday,July 20,at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Elmer Lewis,pastor of Squirrel Hill Christian Church, Greenfield, Pittsburgh,officiating. Interment, Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner,funeral director.
