Michael Guzzie; 88; of Rostraver Township; died Thursday; April 24; 2003 in his home. He was born in Monessen on Jan. 16; 1915; the son of the late Michael and Mary Slivka Guzzie. He was retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation with 46 years of service. Mr. Guzzie was a member of St. John the Divine Orthodox Church in Monessen. He is survived by two daughters; Judi Guzzie of Rostraver Township; and Patti Tonarelli Bigi and husband Herman of Monongahela; two grandsons; John Tonarelli and wife Sue; and Jeff Tonarelli; one sister; Helen Nelson of Belle Vernon; one great-grandson; Michael Tonarelli; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; Rose Procaccini Guzzie; an infant daughter; Michelle Guzzie; one brother-in-law; William Procaccini; and one son-in-law; Jerry Tonarelli. Friends were received Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. in the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC.; 580 Circle Drive; Sweeney Plan/Rostraver Township. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Saturday; April 26; at 1:30 p.m.; followed by Funeral Liturgy in St. John the Divine Orthodox Church; 42 McKee Ave.; Monessen with the Very Rev. John Horosky officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery; Rostraver Township.
