Michael Francis Slavik was born July 4th, 1958 in Toul-Rosieres, France. He was 62 years young. He grew up all over the place, from Paterson, New Jersey, to here in Belle Vernon PA, where he graduated High School. He went on to get a certification in diesel mechanics, and traveled out west to California to pursue a career, and explore his passion for music. That passion lead to participation in many bands, locally, over 5 decades. He would return to our area here in South West PA, and father his first two children, Michael, and Joseph Slavik with their mother Robin Brashear in Belle Vernon. Years later, Michael married Kimberly Joy Kyle, to whom he had three sons, Christopher Michael, Erik Gibson, and Stevie Ray Slavik. He is survived by his mother Stephanie Slavik, his brother Thomas "Slick" Slavik (Marie), his sister Aileen "Kiki"(Michael) Kremer, his dear friends Frankie Bennett, and David Weaver, as well as his girlfriend Amy Fox. He also had many grandchildren, too many to mention with the exception of his boo boo, Kasper Moss Slavik, and Kasper's mother Amber Lynn Hamm who both gave him a great deal of Joy for the last 18 months of his life.
A celebration of life will be held at the Foster House, Wednesday 5-5-21 at 5PM. (One Cook Rd, Belle Vernon, PA 15012)
