Michael F. Bashada,80,of 1014 Graham St.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,Feb. 17,1988,at 12:30 p.m. in Mon Valley Hosptial,Carroll Twp. Born Oct. 18,1907,in Arnold City,he was the son of the late George and Mary Urbanik Bashada. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community,he was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,where he served as an usher for many years. He was a member of the Monessen Sportsman's Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter,Mary Ann Minett on Feb. 13,1980;two brothers, Stanley J. Bashada on April 24,1977,and Andrew Bashada on April 5,1982 and a sister, Catherine Buttermore in 1987. Surviving are his wife, Mary Wassilchalk Bashada;two sons, Ted Bashada and Michael G. Bashada Jr.,both of Belle Vernon; a sister, Anna Flora of Belle Vernon;nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 pm. at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. A Prayer service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Pparzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
