Obituary

Michael (Shorty) Komlos of Belle Vernon,died suddenly Friday,Oct.15,1982,at 10:41 p.m.in Brownsville General Hospital. He was 61. Mr.Komlos was born Oct.13,1921,in Monessen,a son of the late Andrew and Helen Garber Komlos. He retired in 1977 as a metallurgical observer with the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Mr. Komlos was preceded in death by his wife,Mary Ann Nardi Komlos,on Sept.21,1973,and by two brothers,John and Andrew Komlos. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. A resident of the Belle Vernon Community the past 40 years,Mr. Komlos was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and American Legion Post 659, both of Belle Vernon. Surviving are one son. Michael Komlos,of Belle Vernon, two daughters. Kathryn and Joann Komlos, both of Belle Vernon, two brothers,George Komlos of Monessen and Emil Komlos of Belle Vernon, one sister, Mrs. Olga Shlpitz. of Belle Vernon, one grandson, Matthew Komlos, and one granddaughter, Keri Ann Komlos, both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. American Legion Post 659 services will be held Sunday at 7:15 p.m.in the funeral home. A Prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by a 10 a.m.Mass of Christian Burial in St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
