Mercy V. Green; 79; of Belle Vernon; died Thursday; May 17; 2007; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Alex and Edith White Braddock; she was born Oct. 10; 1927. A lifelong Belle Vernon resident; Mercy was a member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene and retired from the former Charland Sewing Factory. Survivors include her husband of 63 years; Eugene R. Green; one son and daughter-in-law; Larry and Marianne Green; of Pittsburgh; one daughter and son-in-law; Linda and Vernon Smith; of Belle Vernon; four grandchildren; Paul Green; Vernon Smith and wife Stacey; Melissa McGee and husband Andrew; and David Smith; five great-grandchildren; Justin; Tanner and Hailey Smith and Eilis and Aine McGee; two brothers; Jack Braddock; of Belle Vernon; and Vaughn Braddock; of West Brownsville; one sister; Helen McCormick; of Morgantown; W.Va.; three sisters-in-law; Beverly Glover; Betty Jackson and Margaret Whaley; and one brother-in-law; Paul Green. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by four sisters; Emily Tylosky; Elsie Tintori; Mildred Waiton and Mary Riskey.
