died Thursday Oct.19;1978; at 12:01 a.m. in the
Waddington Convalescent
Home; Fayette City R.D. He
was 85.
Born in Belle Vernon; July
30;1893; he was the son of the
late Sylvester and Bertha
Krepps Lehew. He was a life
long resident of the Belle
Vernon area.
Mr. Lehew retired in 1958 as
an employee in the electrical
department of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen
plant.
He was a member of the
First Presbyterian Church of
Belle Vernon; and the F & AM
Lodge; No. 643; Belle Vernon.
He was preceded in death by
his wife; Tillie Guder Lehew;
on Nov. 20;1976.
Mr. Lehew is survived by
two sons; Donald M. Lehew of
Belle Vernon; and Edwin C.
Lehew of the North Hills
(Pittsburgh); one brother;
Ralph Lehew of Belle Vernon;
two sisters; Mrs. Edna Aitken
of Fellsburg; and Mrs. Thelma
Latkanich of Monessen; three
grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in
the Shelby D. Ferguson
Funeral Home; 700 Broad
Ave.; Belle Vernon;Thursday
from 7 to 9 p.m.; and
Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m.;with Dr.S.Arthur Talman;pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
