Melvin L. (Bud) Kayda, 62,of 1126 Linn Drive, Washington Heights,Belle Vernon, died Saturday,April 2,1988,at 11:4 p.m. He was born Feb. 11,1926 in Monessen , a son ot the late Louis and Mary Delansky Kayda. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kayda. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. He also was a member of the Myford Golf League and the Mon Valley Home Builders Association. He was a veteran of World War II,having served with the U.S. Air Force. He lived in Belle Vernon for the past 38 years and formerly had been a resident of Donora. He owned and operated Kayda Heating and Air Conditioning Co. of Belle Vernon for 38 years. Surviving are his wife Margaret (Peggy) Miller Kayda; one son,Melvin Christopher Kayda of Jacksonville, Fla and two grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc., 700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
