Melvin H. Beaumont,79,of Charleroi,died Monday,July 20,1998,in the Monongahela Valley Hospital,Carroll Township. Mr. Beaumont was born June 27,1919 in West Newton the son of the late Oliver H. and Ethel Marie Beaumont. He was a paratrooper for the U.S. Army's Airborne Division and was employed at the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company. He is survived by two daughters, Valerie Gray of Courtney and Deidre Beaumont of Monessen,two sons,Barry Beaumont and Kevin Beaumont,both of Charleroi,one sister,Mrs. Emil (Dolores) Richie of Northeast,one brother, Lewis Beaumont of Monessen and 12 grandchildren. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Joan Spoonamore Beaumont;and one sister, Evelyn Dylrimple. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen
