Obituary

Melanie A. Hallam, 45, of Monessen, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, in Mon Valley Hospital. Mrs. Hallam was born April 6, 1962, in M. Tonawanda, N.Y., a daughter of Walter E. Waggoner and wife Jessie, of Punxsutawney, and the late Julianna Weibl Waggoner. She was employed at the Belle Vernon Wal-Mart as the housewares department manager. Mrs. Hallam enjoyed sewing, crafts and baking. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Hallam was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elizabeth and Frank Weibl, and her father-in-law, Forest Frosty Hallam. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Hallam, son, Army Private 1st Class E-4 Brandon Hallam, daughter, Amanda Hallam, four grandchildren, Zachery E. Dermont, Preston Ryan Dermont, Dajanelle Lela Sky Hallam, and Domenic Scott, one sister, Brenda Kayser and husband Steve, of Amherst, N.Y., one brother, Mark Waggoner, of Nashville, Tenn., two stepsisters, Judy and Sharla, one stepson, Phillip Scott Hallam, one daughter-in-law, Kim Roberts, her mother-in-law, Clara Mitzi Hallam, two sisters-in-law, Sally (Tom) Campbell and Margaret Ealy, two brothers-in-law, Jonathan (Kathy) Hallam, and Mark (Sonya) Hallam, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., a Golden Rule Funeral Home, 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Belle Vernon Cemetery.
