May Cain Diethorn; 87; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Sunday; April 1; 2012; at 12:50 p.m. at Monongahela Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born May 14; 1924; in Belle Vernon; she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ella Beazell Cain. Mrs. Diethorn was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon and was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. May worked as a secretary for U.S. Steel; Irvin Works; during World War II and later worked for the Belle Vernon Water Authority as a bookkeeper until her retirement. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law; Susan and Richard Bronder; of Woodstock; N.Y.; Nancy and Bruce Raymond; of La Grange; N.Y.; and Marylou and Ronald Todd; of Jeannette; sister; Jane Shider; of Belle Vernon; six grandchildren; Shelley Savatgy and husband; Matt; Craig Bronder; Melanie Todd; Erin Mulkeran and husband; Kevin; Amanda Kalantirsky and husband; Phil; and Becky Raymond; and two great-grandchildren; Lily Savatgy and Quinn Savatgy. She is preceded in death by her husband; Lionel Joe Diethorn; June 8; 2002; a twin sister; June Leeper; and a brother; Ralph Cain.
