May B. Pancook,73,of Belle Vernon R.D.1,formerly of Monessen,died Sunday,Jan. 3,1965,at 10 a.m. in Haven Crest Convalescent Home,Fisher Heights,after a lingering illness. Born in Braddock,Mrs. Pancook had lived in Monessen for 54 years. She was a charter member of the Pythian Sisters and was a member of the Dames of Malta,both of Monessen. Her husband, Arthur J.,a Monessen City councilman,died in 1918. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Fern) Allen of Fellsburg with whom she had made her home;two sons,William of Harrisburg and Everett of Monessen,who is athletic director of Monessen High School;two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Friends will be received at the H. Denver Rhome Funeral Home,Monessen,after 7 p.m. Sunday. Visiting hours then will be 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Service at the funeral home Wednesday,Jan. 6 at 1:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev. Harold J. Kimmins,pastor of Fellsburg Methodist Church. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery H. Denver Rhome,funeral director.
