(Pricedale); died Wednesday;June 25;1975 at 5:15 pm in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Russia on
Aug 15; 1889 and had lived in
Pricedale the last 40 years.
Mr. Yanko was an honorary
member of the Citizens
Association of Pricedale. He
also belonged to the United
Mine Workers of America.
He retired 20 years ago from
the Somers No. 4 mine at
Pricedale.
A son; Andrew Yanko;
preceded him in death on May
28;1970.
Surviving are three
daughters; Mrs. Margaret
Miller of East Hartford;
Conn.; Mrs. Katherine
Garakian of Windsor Locks;
Conn. and Mrs. Ruby Slay of
Avella; a daughter-in-law;
Mrs. Helen Yanko; with whom
he resided; five grandchildren;
Mrs. Margaret
Schoenholtz of New Eagle;
Mrs. Patricia DePoalo of
Charleroi; Mrs. Pauline Beno
of Belle Vernon; Mrs Janice
Gaydos of Monessen and Mrs.
Andrea Anderson of Tulsa;
Okla.; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at
the Shelby D. Ferguson
Funeral Home; Belle Vernon;
from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m.at the funeral home with the Rev.John Kluchko of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church;Lynnwood;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
