Max A.Kovalchuk;49;of 465 Fourth St.;North Charleroi;died at 1:15 a.m.on Monday;June 9;1975;in Charleroi Division Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born Jan.30;1926;in Monessen;he was a son of Mrs.Rozalia Kovalchuk of Monessen and the late Thomas Kovalchuk who passed away in 1971. He was employed as an auditor by the State Department of Labor and Security. A U.S.Air Force veteran of World War II;Mr.Kovalchuk was a member of Monessen Elks Lodge 773. Surviving are his widow;Mrs.Marion Wells Kovalchuk;two sons;Richard and Mark;and a daughter;Lorraine;all at home;and three brothers;Walter;Thomas and Fred J.;all of Monessen. Friends are being received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.tomorrow in the Robert A.Billick Funeral Home Inc.;Grand Blvd and Marion Ave.;Monessen where services will be held at 10 a.m.Wednesday with the pastor of St.Hyacinth Catholic Church of Monessen in charge. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Robert A.Billick is the funeral director in charge.
