Maurice Winn, 50, of 105 Reed Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday, May 17,1964 at 5:30 p.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital after an illness of one month. Born in Vesta on Dec. 6,1913,he had resided in Belle Vernon for 45 years. He was employed as a hooker in the chipping bed department of the Monessen Plant, Pittsburgh Steel Co. He was a veteran of World War II, serving most of his tour of duty with the U.S. Army in the China-Burma-India Theatre of War. He was a member of St. Sebastian R.C.Church, Belle Vernon. Surviving are his widow, Norma Nesti Winn, a son, Harry Robert and a daughter, Beverly Ann,at home, his mother, Mrs. Alice Winn,two brothers, George of Fairhope and Harry of Okmulgee, Okla and a sister, Mrs. Jay ( Edna) Krepps of Lynnwood, Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Shleby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,after 7 p.m. on Monday. Funeral home visiting hours are from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Prayer service will be held from the funeral home Thursday, May 21,at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Requiem High Mass at 10 a.m. from St. Sebastian R.C.Church, Belle Vernon. The Rev. Donald S. Nesti,of St. Mary's Seminary, Norwalk, Conn., nephew of the deceased,will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
