Maude S.McEwen;74;of 828 Crest Ave.;Charleroi;died Tuesday;Dec.23;1975 at 8 a.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. She was born in Fayette City on Nov.30;1901;daughter of the late E.W. and Blanche Seighman Sisley. Mrs.McEwen was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Charleroi. She was preceded in death by her husband;William McEwen;in 1962;and by a brother;Fred Sisley. Surviving are two sons;William E.of Monongahela R.D.2 and Donald C.of Charleroi;two daughters;Mrs.Arthur (Blanche) Staib of Charleroi and Mrs.B.F.(Sara Lou) Taylor of Bear Rocks;one sister;Lucretia Sisley of Charleroi;her stepmother;Mrs.Mary Croushore Sisley of Fayette City;and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Harold R.Schrock Funeral Home;Charleroi;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.Francis M.Blair of the Charleroi Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
