Mrs.Hammitt was born in Armstrong County;Feb.15;1889. She was a member of the First Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;Belle Vernon Sisterhood Dames of Malta and Degree of Honor Protective Asociation;Belle Vernon. Surviving are her husband;Charles W.;a daughter;Mrs.Joseph (Zeima) Kostelac;with whom she made her home;a brother;William Tharpe;New Castle;two sisters;Mrs.Florence Kriess;Butler and Mrs.Myrtle Sharrock;Monessen;four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
