Mrs.Mattie Jackson Maddox;65;of 129 Krolik Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;May 2;1967;at 5:30 p.m.in Brownsville General Hospital after a short illness. Born on July 8;1901;in Mathews;Ala.;she came to Pennsylvania in 1925 and had lived in Belle Vernon 38 years. Mrs.Maddox was a member of Mt.Hebron Baptist Church at Lendale Terrace;near Grindstone;and Star of Bethlehem Chapter 34 of the Eastern Star;Monessen. Surviving are her husband;Jess;two brothers;Arthur Jackson of Belle Vernon and the Rev.O.J.Jackson of Cleveland;Ohio. Friends will be received at the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;Monessen from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.on May 3. The body will be taken to the late home for viewing from 2:30 p.m.May 5 to 1 p.m.Saturday;May 6;when the remains will be removed to Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;for service.
