Obituary

Matthew Tokar Jr.of Belle Vernon R.D.2 died Saturday Sept.29,1984,at 11:50 p.m. in Allegheny General Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was 54. Mr.Tokar was born May 23,1930,in North Charleroi,a son of the late Matthew and Susanna Jagerik Tokar. A U.S.Army veteran of the Korean Conflict,he was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church,Rostraver Twp. Mr.Tokar was employed by U.S. Steel Corp. at the Irvin Works at Dravosburg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister,Agnes,and by three brothers,Frank,John and Michael. Survivors include his widow,Jane Stump Tokar,a daughter,Mrs. James (Mary Sue) Colborn of West Newton R.D.1,a son,Jay Matthew Tokar at home,two brothers,Joseph Tokar of Charleroi and Edward Tokar of Monongahela,three sisters,Mrs.Sue Homa of Charleroi,Mrs.Michael (Margaret) Sveda of Fayette City and Mrs.Mary Kassa of Donora,and two grandchildren,Joshua and Erica Lynn Colborn. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the James C.Stump Funeral Home,Rostraver Twp. where services will be held Wednesday,Oct.3 at 11 a.m. with the Rev.Gordon Whitney officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon cemetery. The James C.Stump Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
