Obituary

Matthew S. Posick, 72,of 114 Branch Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Friday, Dec. 6,1991,at Jefferson Center Hospital,Jefferson.  He was born in Fairhope on July 23,1919, a son of the late Mike and Rose Posick.  Mr. Posick was Catholic by faith. He was a member of the Fayette City American Legion and the Naomi Club.  A lifelong resident of Fairhope, he retired in 1981 from Fisher Body in Dravoesburg.  He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Army Air Corps-Medical Corps. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Posick and William Posick and a sister, Mae Conrad.  He is survived by his wife, Emogene Kissler Posick;two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Marcia) Minkovich of Belle Vernon and Barbara Masten of Belle Vernon;six sisters,Kate Billy of Vienna,Va.,Winnie Bell of Sarasota,Fla.,Ann Krieger and Rose Salotti,both of Kensington,Md.,and Madeline Hasco and Virginia Posick,both of Bathesda, Md.;three grandchildren, Todd Chester,Dana Chester and Aaron Anderson and one great-granddaughter, Courtney Chester. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Blessing service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Mackiewicz,pastor of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church,Fayette City,officiating. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
