Matthew John Jakela,18,of Pricedale,died Friday,Sept. 6,1996,at home. He was born April 20,1978 in North Charleroi,the son of Terry and Patricia Yusko Jakela of Pricedale,who survive. Matthew was a senior at the Belle Vernon Area High School and the Westmoreland County Area Vo Tech School. He was employed at the McDonald's Restaurant in New Stanton. Besides his parents,he is survived by one sister and brother-in-law,Laura and Michael Borne of Belle Vernon and his paternal grandparents,John and Jean Slicker Jakela of Fellsburg and a niece and goddaughter,Mikayla Borne. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents,John and Mary Ercegovich Yusko. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,334 Main and Cook Streets, Fayette City. Friends will also meet from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday in the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon where services will be held with the Rev. John Kluchko officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
