Matthew E. Lunch of Belle Vernon R.D.3,died Saturday,Nov. 4,1978,in Mon valley Hospital,Carroll Twp.,following a brief illness. He was 65.Born in Donora,April 7,1913,he was the son of the late Samuel and Susan Foster Lynch. He was a resident of the Monessen and Belle Vernon area all his life. Mr. Lynch was employed as an industrial engineer at the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.until his retirement four years ago.He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 28,Monessen. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lynch Beatty,in 1968,and a brother,Joseph Lynch,in 1958. Mr. Lynch is survived by his widow,Iretta Yost Lynch;one daughter,Mrs. Eugene (Susan) Beyer of Pittsburgh;one son,Dennis Lynch of Buffalo,N.Y.;one sister, Mrs. Susan Ringstad of Belle Vernon,and four brothers,Robert Lynch of Clearwater,Fla.,William Lynch of Aurora,Ia.,Charles Lynch of North Charleroi,and Vincent Lynch of Cornwell Heights,Pa. Friends will be received in the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday,and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home,with the Rev. Joseph C. Rial,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Monongahela,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Meals-on-Wheels Program or a favorite charity.
